Cross-selling is a sales tactic that involves selling supplementary products or services based on the customer’s interest in, or purchase of, one of your company’s products or the historical data as well. Cross-selling is one of the most effective methods of streaming more revenue from the existing customer base. It does not involve higher CAC or Customer Acquisition Costs and eventually increases ARPU or Average Revenue Per Customer, the revenue of the company per unit/user over a particular span.
